Pride Games LGBT Community Sports Awards 2010
The Pride Games Sports Awards were established by Pride Sports to recognise and celebrate the wealth of talent and commitment seen in LGBT community sport across Greater Manchester.The Awards to be presented, along with the judging criteria, are outlined below.
The judging panel will comprise Lou Englefield (Pride Sports), Trevor Burchick (Pride Sports), Sarah Williams (Rugby Football League), Simon Pearson (LGF), Stephen Frost (London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games) and Alison Vaughan (Kick It Out).
All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding decisions.
Sports Achiever of the Year (male)
- Sport(s) played
- Level the nominee is playing at.
- Achievements over the last 12 months including steps taken to improve performance.
- Demonstrate the nominees dedication to training, giving examples of where they have made extra efforts to ensure their progress.
- Any other key achievements within their club or the wider sporting community.
- What do you find inspiring about this individual?
Sports Achiever of the Year (female)
Sponsored by the Lesbian and Gay Foundation- Sport(s) played
- Level the nominee is playing at.

Coach of the Year
Sponsored by Manchester Leisure- Delivery of at least one coaching session a week. Please tell us which group the coaching is for.

Community Investor of the Year (LGBT businesses supporting sports groups)

Nominations can be made using the form below. Anyone involved in sport can nominate an individual or club based in North West England for the Pride Games Community Sports Awards and although these Awards are to recognise the achievement of LGBT sport, people of all sexualities can make a nomination.
Please use one form per nomination, even if you want to nominate the same person in more than one category. There is no limit to the nominations that can be made by one group or individual. Please make reference in your nomination to the judging criteria above, as this will be used to score nominations.
